Exactly my point: Response to "Don't blame the Eater"

David Zinczenko's "Don't Blame the Eater" states that the fast-food companies fulfill the nutrional needs of kids left by overworked parents. With parents working long hours 5 days a week, it became impossible for them to monitor what thier children ate which was usually inexpensive high-calorie foods. Zinczenko was part of the group he described. Since his sinlge mother worked long hours and was rarely home, he ate at fast-food restaruants like Mcdonalds, Burger King, and other fast food chains and ended up overwieght. I fully agree with Zinczenko. On every corner, there is a fast-food restaurant. You can't escape it. There are probably more fast-food spots located on one street than a healthy food store in the nieghborhood. In my nieghborhood, there are three Mcdonalds in an eight block radius from 71st to 79th street. This does not include the Burger King, Pizzia Hut, Maxwell's, Popeyes, and Brown's Chicken that is also in that 8 block radius too. If there are any alternatives, I don't see any. By the way, they close the only grocrey store in that radius too.
